Graffiti Girl. Banksy satire
In this Banksy card our innocent girl is angry. She does not know the meaning of the word ‘satire’ and presumes it is something that is bad. Of course, satire means ‘the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule… particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.’ In terms of Banks’s art it the use of the word is correct.

Graffiti girl. Graffiti is a word meaning ‘writing or drawings that have been scribbled, scratched, or painted illicitly on a wall’. Our innocent girl is often trying to make statements which slightly elude her but in which there is some semblance of truth.
